Hanse 495 # 56 was ordered for that very promise of fast sailing – anywhere – in the most stylish and innovative design to come out of the Hanse Yard yet.
No attention to detail has been overlooked.
Here's some of the options we chose for this special model.
In the Cockpit
Full teak means all your sitting areas and the cockpit floors are teak covered.
The halyards lead aft to the winches and lie under a teak panel flush with the coaming – a great perching spot.
Your winches are a hefty 54 Electric Lewmar, stainless self tailing.
Instruments at the helm position include Simrad IS20 wind (port and starboard), Full Function Graphic, Combi and the AutoPilot display head - the AP24.
The latest touch screen series chart plotter (NSS12) is mounted on the aft end of the cockpit table. The swivel mechanism gives you an easy view from whichever helm you prefer.
The Sonic Hub facility on the boat means you can choose music from your iPhone, docked below, via the chart plotter and the two cockpit speakers.
Moving forwards or looking up – the sails are the upgrade option – North’s ACL main and headsail.
This superb quality cloth has increased strength and will last longer.
That bow…
You'll find an electric deck wash pump in the anchor well - no excuses not to keep the area clean!
If you climb down the ladder into the vast sail lazarette you'll see the access to the chain locker.
Also down here is the access to the Maxpower retractable bow thruster and it’s dedicated 24v battery bank.

This is where rocket ship becomes luxury ship!
The super cool interior of #56 is optioned with the Canadian Beech wood finish.
This is boldly complemented by RED upholstery – it works superbly!
The Teak floorboard option is a stylish way for you to be practical.
Climate Control
On this yacht it will be hard for you to resist cruising to the tropic.
And when you get there the air conditioning will ensure your comfort.
A powerful 4 unit system means all cabins as well as saloon are beautifully cool.
The reverse cycle system is also perfect for cold climate adventures.
All your hatches have blinds and fly screens.
In addition to the standard fridge the galley is equipped with a front opening freezer.
A Miele dishwasher (of course), a coffee machine and microwave.
A 4kw Fischer Panda generator sits neatly aft of the engine house to cater for your 240V needs offshore.
A 1600w invertor is part of the Cruise pack optioned for this boat.

Continuing the theme of low profile, clean lines...
... this yacht has a clever TV lifting mechanism.
Your screen is hidden in the bench between the galley and saloon.
Time to watch TV?... just press the button... and it rises from the galley work bench.
The Sonic Hub is complemented with 4 good speakers in the saloon for your music.

Hanse 495 # 56 has just arrived in Australia.
Not many boats make the Hanse 495 look small... but Wild Oats does have a habit of eclipsing all around her!!
Unfortunately for him the buyer of this model is no longer able to proceed with the purchase.
However... this is great news for someone keen to get out sailing on their own 495 but without the wait...
